Welcome

hello... ni hao... jambo.... moshi moshi... and............... g'dayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Welcome to the blog of feather and stone. We are Fernando, Suzanne, Seth and Tenielle, we are married couples armed with cameras ready to shoot just about anything...."but we won't do that"...(we stole that from Meatloaf). Brisbane and the coasts are our backyard, Australia is our playground and the world is our sea slug (oyster was taken).

Our blog is our news reel, it's what we are doing, our experiences, professional work, personal work, travels and sometimes totally random jibber jabber.. what's that MR T? You pity the fool that makes negative comments about feather and stone??? If I were you id listen to Mr T.... so make a comment or else.....

You may remember our trip to Melbourne late last year, when we flew down and did a family shoot at the Museum. Whilst we were in Melbourne we stayed with our dear friends Grant + Britt, true gems, these types of friends - more like family, just don't come along often enough. We usually part ways with washboard abs on account of the ridiculous amount of laughing we do together. To top it off Britt is an amazing and talented photographer and we were fortunate enough to have her snap piccies of us (we now understand how hard it is being on the other side of the camera!!).  It's a brilliant experience being able to bring out people's personalities in photos, but it's especially amazing when it's ones you know and love. So enjoy a snippet of this phenomenal couple, our dear friends Grant + Britt, we love you guys!

We're pretty sure that our faces melted on Sunday...... not because of the 30 degree heat ......but rather on account of Brendan and Anne-Marie's radiating waves of ridiculously-good-looking-ness! This time we ventured to Marist College, Brendan's ol stomping ground back in the day.  Armed with frosty corona's, a bag of grain waves and 2 boxes of strawberry straps we were mucho preparedo for the afternoon ahead. Brendan + Anne-Marie gave us some cold blue steel, flying star jumps and a rogue piggy back or 2. We had so much fun with them and CAN'T WAIT to shoot their BIG day this Saturday, so watch this space!

It may have been the strawberry straps, but we all went a tad mental after the shoot and after a failed attempt at a pyramid, we settled on some silly 'Toyota' jumps!

Our dear friends Sam & Crystal have been baking their bun for the last 8 and a half months, and as they're only a few weeks off meeting their first little peanut we decided it was a good time to book in for a session.  Unbeknownst to us, as a treat they had cooked up the most amazing lunch of fresh seafood and good ol American favourites (for Seth), Yipppeeeeeee!!!!!!!   After stuffing ourselves we started shooting and decided we had to add their Beagle puppy 'Badger' to the mix, which consisted of us making monkey noises and banging leftover coke cans around the street to get his attention.  At the end of an awesome day we had to finish with a refreshing pint and a bowl of chips overlooking the bay, pure bliss!  Can't wait to meet peanut, so watch this space as we'll introduce the little one in a few weeks and counting.  To see their Too Cool for Skool slideshow, click here!

P.S  Slideshow includes special piccie of tenielle displaying the perils of using your hand as a makeup palette......forgetting...... and rubbing an itchy nose......

Well done S & T what a brilliant job. The expectant Mum & Dad you had to work with were of course real reason they came out so well!!! Mind you I am a little biased xx
